Mustafa Mahmoud: NAMATI Co-Director, Citizenship Program, Nairobi, Kenya. Over 12 years’ experience with partner organizations supporting community-based paralegals pursuing citizenship rights, inclusion for the stateless in Kenya, Bangladesh, Jordan, and Myanmar.
As Program Manager for Nubian Rights Forum, a Kenyan NGO, supervised 7 paralegals in securing citizenship for Nubian ethnic minority. Recipient of 2021 #GoodID Award for Inclusion.
Other community work experience: Hosted Uhaki Radio Programme: Showcasing Politically Motivated Violence; and Re-integration of Ex-inmates. Kenyan Red Cross volunteer.
Mustafa is passionate about solving injustices, enlightening communities through civic education, networking with government and civil society counterparts, providing technical support to other NGOs starting similar paralegal projects.
